ChildTestingFL is based out of Tampa but only offers at-home services statewide. A school psychologist will travel to your location and test at the student's home. Testing may also be arranged at the school site or local library if requested. All that is needed is a quiet space with a table and 2 chairs.  

Our mission is to make psychoeducational testing affordable for all families without compromising quality or service. While the average cost for comprehensive assessments in FL range between $1,800 and $3,000,  ChildTestingFL is committed to affordability. Our low flat rate of $1,600 for all of FL is far less than most centers. No other costs, no deposit is required. Payments are collected in full on the day of testing. Accepted methods of payments include cash, checks, Zelle, Venmo or PayPal. Unfortunately we do not take medical insurance. StepUp FES-UA scholarship recipients may apply for reimbursement.

ChildTestingFL is owned by Michelle Rexach, licensed school psychologist SS905 with the Florida Department of Health. She holds a bachelor's degree in Education and a master's degree in School Psychology, in addition to hundreds of hours of training and continued education in childhood disorders that impact learning. Michelle is also a certified Applied Behavior Analysist and a Certified Autism Spectrum, Neurodiversity and ADHD Coach. Before becoming a school psychologist, Michelle was a certified teacher grades Pre-K through college level. Michelle has close to 30 years experience in her field and is well known across Florida school districts for her "very detailed" psychoeducational reports. Her areas of expertise include: psychoeducational testing, neurodiversity, dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, sensory differences, language disorders, anxiety, behavioral disorders, giftedness, twice exceptionality, and all school concerns. Absolutely. ChildTestingFL's reports, diagnosis and recommendations are accepted by all academic institutions, private and public, statewide and nationwide. Our practice meets or exceeds standards outlined by the U.S. Department of Education for psychoeducational evaluations: we incorporate standardized testing instruments, rigorously examine all relevant aspects of health, development, academic history, parent / teacher input, behavior and analysis of assessment scores to ensure reliable and accurate results.  Parents are always encouraged to call in to go over the report and answer any questions before submitting to their child's school.

Yes. ChildTestingFL's reports and diagnosis is valid and approved by StepUpforStudents.org for obtaining the Family Empowerment Unique Abilities Scholarship. After testing you may apply and request reimbursement for the cost of this assessment. If you are a PEP recipient you must first switch over to the UA to be reimbursed. 

Yes. This is a comprehensive assessment (not to be confused with a screening) to obtain formal diagnosis with their respective ICD-10 and DSM-V codes, for all learning disorders including but not limited to: dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum, sensory processing disorder, auditory processing disorder, language disorder, anxiety, and many other disorders that impact learning.

While telehealth is widely popular and an effective platform for counseling sessions,  psychoeducational testing using gold-standard tests are normed and validated for in-person use, not for remote administration. Administering them virtually can alter the test's psychometric properties (validity and reliability), potentially making the results less dependable and in many instances inaccurate.

Because training matters, formal and experiential knowledge matters, volume matters. When a clinician is exposed to a much larger volume of cases by being mobile through an entire state and multiple school districts, it results in recognizing traits and nuanced behaviors much faster and more efficiently.
