The Testing Process

Testing is done in person right in your home by a licensed school psychologist, who travels to location. All that is required is a quiet space with a table and 2 chairs (such as the dining room or kitchen table).  Aside from the convenience of not having to drive anywhere, at-home testing offers numerous proven advantages including: reducing testing anxiety, privacy, and  time efficiency. The entire testing process usually takes under 2 hours️ making it a stress-free experience for your family.

Our comprehensive psychoeducational assessment includes:

  • An IQ test.  The tests we use are the Wechsler Intelligence Scales:  WPPSI-IV (Ages 2.10 through 7), the WISC-V (Ages 6 through 16.10) or the WAIS IV (16.11 through adult)
  • An individual achievement test. The test we use is the Wechsler Individual Achievement Test: WIAT-IV
  • In-depth parent interview
  • Review of child's developmental, medical and family history
  • Review of academic history, previous evaluations, progress reports, IEP/504 plan
  • Teacher's observations
  • Other relevant behavioral checklists and questionnaires
  • Observations of your child's behavior
  • A comprehensive PDF report, usually emailed within 5 business days after testing. ChildTestingFL reports are one of the most detailed and thorough in the field. NEW! MyLearningProfile™ developed exclusively by ChildTestingFL,  is a customized analysis of your child's learning style with matching teaching approaches, now included in all reports at no extra cost.
  • A phone conference to discuss findings, answer questions and provide recommendations as it relates to follow up treatments, therapies and other interventions
